MAKE12 MISSION STATEMENT
“To share the gospel both in word and practice; to make disciples,
build reproducing churches, transform society,
and bring renewal to communities near and far.”
Vision is not about what is, but what will be. In pursuit of God’s dream and mission,
vision to Make12 Church is what could be.
At Make12 Church we envision sharing the Gospel with people in every place,
many of whom will accept Jesus’ love, repent, and become His disciples.
We envision teaching new believers as well as established believers--to be committed disciples of Jesus through worship services,
Bible teaching, small groups, and service to our community.
We envision Make12 Church being a place built on authentic relationships where
biblical community is modeled: a place where all are welcome and embraced with love,
are validated and validate others, encouraged and encourage, served and serve all.
We envision helping people identify their divine purpose so that they are confidently equipped in their service to Jesus,
making disciples and building His Kingdom, in our church and around the world.
Our goal is to mobilize every Make12 Church member to be a minister.
The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty
Maker of heaven and earth
I believe in Jesus Christ,
God's only Son, our Lord
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
Born of the virgin Mary
Suffered under Pontius Pilate
Was crucified, dead, and buried
On the third day he rose from the dead
He ascended into heaven
And is seated at the right hand of the Father
He will come again to judge the living and the dead
I believe in the Holy Spirit
The holy Christian Church
The communion of saints
The forgiveness of sins
The resurrection of the body
And the life everlasting.
We believe the Holy Bible consisting of 66 books, both Old and New Testament, are the verbally inspired word of God, the final authority for life and God-breathed (2 Timothy 3:16, 17; 2 Peter 1:20, 21; Matthew 5:18; John 16:12, 13).
God demonstrates his unrelenting passion for the lost throughout the entirety of the Scriptures and most notably his greatest missionary endeavor with the Incarnation of Christ. Our aim is to be on mission with God and as missionaries reach out to those who do not know Him. Therefore, we will use every appropriate means available to bring the Gospel to those who have not heard it. In this sense our church is missionally driven.
A guiding scripture in sustaining the ethos of Make12 Church is Romans 5:8, “But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Christ’s work gives a radically new identity causing us to be free from self-righteousness and self-condemnation. Therefore, we are free to love the person we once excluded.
By the power of the Gospel, we see people of all different walks of life coming together to worship Christ. In this community, people invest their diverse talents, money, and time together, serving as a visible sign of God’s present Kingdom.
Jesus says in Matthew 28:19, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Make12 is committed to raising up disciplined followers of Christ through preaching, small groups, worship, and service.
Our hope is that the gospel reaches into every corner of our city. We believe that it alone can bring restoration and renewal to broken families, neighborhoods, and cities across the world. The gospel compels us to humbly love and serve every person in our city.
The gospel affects everything we do in our lives from relationships, family, finances, art, creation, and society. Therefore, our belief is that if we help people become wholly devoted followers of Jesus in every area of their life, renewal will come to our city.
